PMI Day is the National Day of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises promoted by Piccola Industria Confindustria (Confindustria Small Industry) to introduce young people to the world of business and local professions.
Launched in 2010, the project reached its 16th edition in 2025 and takes place as part of Business Culture Week.
The heart of the initiative is company visits: SMEs open their doors to students and teachers for a firsthand look at their production departments, technologies, processes, and the people who transform ideas into products and services every day. Alongside the visits, there are opportunities for discussion with entrepreneurs and workers, as well as orientation activities that help young people make more informed choices about their studies and future opportunities.
PMI Day is a national project brought to life by the many initiatives of Confindustria’s local associations, which implement it in their respective communities and production chains.
Thanks to their commitment, the initiative continues to grow and generate concrete connections between schools and businesses, reaching ever greater numbers.
