Besani srl is a partner of the F-Susy project for the diffusion of chemical safety in the fashion supply chain.

Besani srl is a company that has been operating since 1969 and produces knitted fabrics of 100% Filodiscozia cotton, dyed and mercerised in yarn and again mercerised in roll.
Besani srl has joined the F-Susy project supported by the Lombardy Region as part of the Smart Fashion and Design program in partnership with Politecnico di Milano, the consulting firms Blumine and Nekte and the textile companies Attilio Imperiali and Maglificio Ripa.
Like all the companies of the sector also our company is subject to pressures from customers in order to guarantee specific chemical safety standards of our products.
In order to navigate in a multiplicity of standards and rules and to meet the customers’ expectations in an always more hastened time to market logics, it is necessary to dispose about appropriate tools and methods.
That’s why we joined F-Susy: we want to contribute in an efficacious and reliable way, thus making a consulting system of standards and validation of products, placing at disposal the knowledge and experiments regarding this topic.
A commitment consistent with the engagement undertaken by our company will replace critical chemical substances with safer ones during the manufacturing processes.
Objectives of the F-Susy project are experimentation and diffusion of textile processes with minor environmental impact due to replacement of dangerous chemical substances with other safer ones and control of the achieved results.
For this reason the activity is concentrated on the realisation of tools able to facilitate the relations among the various subjects of the textile and fashion supply chain, in order to monitor processes and products according to the chemical safety standards in a quick and efficient way.
